California Community College Outreach Partnership Program Overview

Submit applications

Published: December 8, 2021

The California Community Colleges provide affordable and accessible programs that can drastically improve social and economic mobility for individuals and play a pivotal role in the economic recovery for our state. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a recent decline in enrollment — particularly in historically marginalized and underrepresented communities most impacted by the pandemic. The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office is recruiting organizations to participate in a paid

Outreach Partnership Program to:

  • Increase awareness and enrollment of prospective students in California’s community colleges,
with an emphasis on reaching communities that have been most impacted by the pandemic.
  • Engage influencers (i.e., parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school counselors, and
other trusted adults) of prospective students to encourage enrollment and address frequently
    asked questions (FAQs).
  • Increase knowledge of tools and resources available at www.ICanGoToCollege.com, including
how to enroll at your local community college campus, availability of year-round financial aid,
career education programs, and guaranteed transfer to participating four-year colleges or
    universities.

Timeline:
Applications for the Outreach Partnership Program will be available on a quarterly basis. The application deadline for the first quarter is December 10, 2021, the outreach period of January 1 – March 31, 2022. The tentative application deadline for the second quarter is Thursday, February 17, 2022 for the outreach period of April 1 – June 30, 2022. All partners in good standing can continue their efforts through the end of the fiscal year (June 30, 2022) without the need to reapply
