NAMI California's three-part Cultural and Linguistic Competence Online Curriculum
Through this interactive webinar series, participants will cover and discuss a variety of topics and case scenarios that entail cultural self-awareness, awareness of other cultural contexts, an understanding of different dynamics, development of cultural knowledge, and the ability to adapt and practice skills to fit other cultural contexts.
A student-led initiative is designed to reduce stigma and show solidarity with students experiencing mental health challenges. The Bandana Project was founded by a student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and has since spread to campuses in Minnesota and Iowa. Participants wear a lime green bandana on their backpacks and carry a stack of resource cards containing mental health hotline phone numbers to pass out.
