Identifying and Referring At-Risk Students

Source: CCC Health & Wellness
Resource Type: Multimedia
Topics: Awareness & Stigma Reduction, Campus MH Services & Screening, Mental Health, Threat Assessment & Crisis Intervention
Population Focus: Resources for Campuses & Professionals

In partnership with the University of California, Office of the President (UCOP), and Riverside Community College District, CCC SMHP has tailored five PSAs to focus on the mental health needs of CCC students. This PSA is intended to help faculty and staff feel more comfortable in approaching students who may be considering suicide. In this video, a professor seeks advice from a colleague before discussing his concerns with an at-risk student and connecting the student with services.
