Upcoming Webinar to Provide Tools to Support Students Experiencing Homelessness and Housing Insecurity

Community College staff, faculty and administrators are often the first point of contact for students experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity and it is essential they are equipped with the tools needed to support these students to remain enrolled. The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office in partnership with John Burton Advocates for Youth will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, November 16 at 10:00 am to review newly updated resources that are now available to support campus professionals to recognize students who may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, and to understand how to connect these students to resources and support.

Panelists will also include students who will share about their experience as homeless college students as well as campus staff who will speak to the successes and challenges across the system. Closed captioning will be available
